Route guide
Milazzo to Lipari ferry
Milazzo–Lipari is part of Sicily’s current smaller-island ferry network. Lipari is the central hub
of the Aeolian network, with Liberty Lines showing the highest-frequency fast service from Milazzo
and Siremar adding conventional ferry options. Current 2026 information supports very frequent
Liberty Lines fast departures in the 8 June 2026 timetable, backed by multiple Siremar
conventional-ferry patterns across the current summer programme. Always recheck the dated timetable
because seasonal frequency and intermediate calls can change.
Liberty Lines, C&T Isole Minori – Siremar provides the operator coverage used for this guide.
Liberty Lines focuses on fast passenger craft, while Siremar provides conventional ferry services on
the routes where it is listed. Vessel type therefore changes journey time, vehicle eligibility and
onboard facilities.
At Lipari, the service arrives at Lipari Ferry Port. Lipari’s main port is at Marina Lunga,
immediately beside Lipari town. The harbour is a major interchange for Aeolian island hopping, with
onward departures to Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi. If you are combining
separate island sailings, allow a realistic buffer because weather and port conditions can change
short-sea schedules.
If you are connecting to accommodation, another ferry or ground transport, leave a sensible margin
after the scheduled arrival. Weather, port traffic and boarding operations can occasionally affect
the final timing.
Where more than one operator serves Milazzo to Lipari, compare the current timetable and ticket
conditions as well as price; a nearby departure can sometimes offer a better overall fit.
