Las Palmas to Santa Cruz de Tenerife: the direct capital-to-capital ferry
Baleària Canarias operates the direct ferry between Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de
Tenerife. Current operator guidance gives a journey of approximately one hour 40 minutes, with up to
six sailings a day and departures every day of the week.
The route carries passengers, cars and motorcycles and is useful when you want to keep your own
vehicle between the two largest Canary Islands. Depending on the sailing, the operator uses fast
ferries such as Mercedes Pinto, Volcán de Taidía and Volcán de Tagoro, as well as Ciudad de Ibiza.
The former Armas network is now integrated into Baleària Canarias, so current branding can differ
from older signs and ship photographs. Use the booking result for the definitive vessel, terminal
and check-in instructions.
Timetables can change between seasons and weekdays. Check the live result for the exact sailing
date, vessel and check-in requirement before arranging tightly timed onward plans.
If you are connecting to accommodation, another ferry or ground transport, leave a sensible margin
after the scheduled arrival. Weather, port traffic and boarding operations can occasionally affect
the final timing.
